Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2012 riding lawn mower from a trailer parked at the rear of a residence.
7/27 Location: S. Cicero and W. Steger University Park
Summary: Tieeanie Benson, age 25, of 168 Monee Rd. in Park Forest was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and false insurance card.
7/28 Location: E. Old Post Rd. and S. Plum Valley Drive Crete
Summary: Bassam Jawdat, age 26, of 24814 S. Willow Brook Trail in Crete was cited for driving while license suspended.
7/29 Location: W. Richton and Union Avenue Steger
Summary: Ubaldo Horta, age 35, of 218 23rd Street in Chicago was cited for driving while license suspended.
Location: 24525 S. Western Avenue Crete BP Gas Station
Summary: Deputies were called in reference to receiving a counterfeit $5 bill. Upon arrival they spoke with a customer who was attempting to purchase $11 worth of gasoline. When he tried to pay at the counter it was discovered that one of the $5 was counterfeit. The customer informed deputies that he had received the bill from a Mexican restaurant in Wheeling.
7/30 Location: 24525 S. Western Avenue Crete BP Gas
Summary: Upon speaking to the owner he surrendered 8 counterfeit bills to deputies. Owner stated that over the past several months he has received these bills and had them taped to a wall inside the store in order to assist his workers in identifying counterfeit money. Deputies recovered one $100, one $50, one $10, and five $20 bills.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a pole barn and stole a go-cart engine, a remote control car, an ATV, and a scale head.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke the glass rear door to a residence. Nothing was missing from inside.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke the glass side door to a residence in order to gain entry. Stolen was US currency and jewelry.
7/25 Location: W. Rt. 113 and Washington Wilmington
Summary: Jayme Maitland, age 21, of 36451 S. Irish Lane in Wilmington was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding. Maitland was held on a LaSalle County warrant.
7/27 Location: 24801 W. Lake Point Drive Wilmington Lake Point Club
Summary: Person/s unknown used and damaged a golf cart.
7/28 Location: S. Cedar Rd. and W. Delaney Manhattan
Summary: Adrian Irvin, age 23, of 912 Lake Road in New Lenox was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after deputies arrived on the scene at 3am near the Metra train tracks and observed Manhattan Fire Department extinguishing a fully engulfed vehicle. Also observed was a large boulder about 3ft. by 3ft. that the vehicle had struck. No one was inside of the vehicle and upon visiting Irvin at his residence he was cited.

7/29 Location: W. Hoff Rd. and S. Rt. 53 Jackson
Summary: Michelle Marszalik, age 38, of 110 W. Park in Elwood, was arrested for speeding in a construction zone, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI.

Summary: Person/s unknown kicked in the side door of an attached garage. Nothing was missing.
7/30 Location: 28000 block of S. Fir Lane Wilmington
Summary: Adam Aiello, age 31, of 28317 S. Fir Lane in Wilmington was arrested for residential burglary after deputies were called to this block and spoke with the owner of a residence who reported that person/s had broken into his home and stole steaks from a freezer, am amplifier, a Weber grill and 2 18lb. bags of charcoal, a stereo, a blender, a wheelbarrow, 4 bottles of liquor, jumper cables, an R/C plane transmitter, deep fryer, R/C truck remote control, Halloween decorations, ski rope and a gas tank. Upon checking the property some of the items were observed at the 28317 S. Fir Lane address. Aiello was brought in for questioning and arrested.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a truck and stole a lawn mower, hedge trimmer, gas blower, two cordless drills, two tool boxes, two saws, two hammer drills, two air compressors and two circular saws.

Summary: Daniel Suarez, age 22, of 1703 S. Chicago St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Summary: Darnell Torres, age 23, of 414 Claim St. in Aurora was cited for failure to signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no driver’s license, and obstructing a peace officer.

Summary: Michael L. Green, age 31, of 1912 S. Chicago in Joliet was cited for improper lane usage and driving while license suspended.

Summary: Charles Howard, age 34, of 1712 Raleigh Trail in Romeoville was arrested for improper lane usage, driving while license suspended, possession of cannabis under 30 grams, and also had an active in-state FTA warrant.

Summary: Tracy Scholp, age 35, of 238 N. Center in Braidwood was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of hypodermic syringes.

Summary: Deputies were called to a shots fired call. Upon arrival they located six spent 9mm shell casings and were advised that a vehicle had been struck on the roof and another vehicle had been struck on the passenger’s side door. Both vehicles were parked and unoccupied.

7/24 Location: 19000 block of S. Sycamore Mokena
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a container of coins.
7/25 Location: 19651 Beechnut Drive Mokena Arbury Hills School
Summary: Employee stated he observed suspicious activity involving four teenagers congregating behind the south of the school. When deputies arrived the subjects fled. One 10ft. section of PVC downspout had been torn from the wall and was damaged. Graffiti was also found on the south side of the building.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet containing $150 and a container with about $5 in it.
7/26 Location: 19000 block of Beechnut Drive Mokena
Summary: Victim stated at about 10:30pm she observed someone looking through the front door window. Upon opening the door a male black subject came in and pinned her behind the door. The subject walked up the stairs and pointed a black handgun at a second victim and ordered the victim to the ground. The second victim ran down the hallway and locked herself in a bathroom. A third victim opened his bedroom door and observed the unknown subject with a gun in his hand. The subject then took off out of the house, entered a dark SUV and left the scene. No one was injured.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered the cell tower property and stole 3 six foot sections of cable and 1 ground plate.
7/28 Location: 8100 block of Wheatfield Drive Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown entered two vehicles and stole a GPS and sunglasses from one and a cell phone, blue tooth ear piece, and three pairs of sunglasses from the other.

Summary: Alonte Jones, age 19, of 617 Mendota Lane in Romeoville was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams, possession of drug equipment, and speeding.
7/28 Location: 300 block of Stuart Rd.
Summary: An unknown male white subject approached a swimming pool with a baseball bat and began striking it. A 13 year old male subject was inside the pool at the time and stated that he went under water because he was afraid for his safety. After causing a 3ft. dent to the pool, the offender ran from the yard and entered a dark colored SUV.
7/29 Location: 300 block of Bruce Rd.
Summary: Deputies were dispatched at 7:14pm to a vehicle versus child accident. Upon arrival a 6 year old male child was laying in the driveway of a residence with a laceration above his right eyebrow. Lockport Township Fire transported him to Silver Cross and he was treated for non life threatening injuries. Ame J. Lee, age 38, of 1802 S. State in Lockport was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Witnesses stated that a group of juveniles had been near the street when the 6 year old attempted to cross the road in front of the vehicle.
