Summary: Sometime between 5/1 and 5/14, person/s unknown entered into a gated yard and removed six vehicle tires and eight car batteries.

Summary: Michael J. Korpitz, age 43, of this address, was arrested for battery.

Summary: Monique D. Raggs, age 23, of 362 N. Broadway in Joliet was cited for improper signaling and driving while license suspended.

Summary: Danzel Mitchell, age 21, of 112 Madonna Avenue in Joliet was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Summary: Timothy Yantz, Jr., age 19, of 735 ½ 1st Avenue in Morris was arrested for assault, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting a peace officer.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole a purse from the kitchen table.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
5/14 Location: S. Budler and W. Taylor Rd. Plainfield
Summary: Mark L. Bouhuys, age 44, of 14027 S. Oregon Drive in Plainfield was arrested for DUI, no valid driver’s license and illegal transportation of alcohol.
Location: 3300 block of Caroline Drive Plainfield
Summary: An 83 year old male victim reported that at about 12:30pm two subjects, one male black, one male white, pulled into his driveway in a white pick-up truck. The men approached the victim and stated they were there to fix his chimney. The victim told the men that he had his chimney fixed two years ago by Mueller Roofing. The men then stated that they were sent by Mueller roofing and it would cost $79 to repair it. The victim then gave the men approval to fix the roof. Upon completion the victim was billed for $3600. When questioned the subjects advised that the repair cost was “$79 per item and they used 42 of them.” The victim stated that it appeared to him that they had only used spray paint on the flashing. A price of $3300 was agreed upon after the subjects threatened to place a lien on his house. Upon leaving the victim observed a female sitting in the truck. Later in the day the victim called deputies. Deputies located a black spray paint cap in the victim’s bushes. The victim stated that he received a call from his bank who stated that a female subject was trying to cash his check and it exceeded the allowable amount for a non-customer. Victim advised the bank to stop payment on the check. Mueller Roofing was contacted and advised that the subjects were not employees. Under investigation.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a vehicle and stole a wallet.

5/14 Location: 102 Ford Drive Lawn-N-Order Landscape New Lenox
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a snow plow blade, two backpack leaf blowers, and a trimmer.
5/16 Location: 11843 Stephanie Lane Mokena Luke’s Lawn Service
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a Chevy pick-up with a trailer attached. The victim was advised the following morning that Gary, IN police had recovered it and had suspects in custody.
5/18 Location: W. 191st and S. Harlem Frankfort
Summary: Dejon Wade, Jr., age 21, of 1320 W. 174th in Hazel Crest was cited for no valid registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper use of registration.

Summary: person/s unknown caused damage to a pool by puncturing the liner with holes.

Summary: person/s unknown stole a cast iron and wooden bench from the front yard of a residence.
5/19 Location: S. 104th and W. Steger Rd. Frankfort
Summary: Daniel A. Siemsen, age 18, of 9152 W. Pauling Rd. in Monee was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after he lost control of his vehicle, struck a ditch, became airborne, and the vehicle landed on its roof. Siemsen stated he was attempting to avoid a collision with a deer. No life threatening injuries were reported.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a GPS unit, and a bag of miscellaneous hand tools.

Summary: Shante Trotter, age 22, of 1113 Woodruff Rd. in Joliet was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after she struck the rear of a vehicle while it was stopped at a red light.

Summary: Anita Gonzalez, age 27, of 12213 W. Black Forest Trail in Homer Glen was cited for improper backing and speeding.

Summary: Shari Mendelson, age 34, of 13551 S. Doonaree Circle in Homer Glen was cited for speeding, driving while license suspended, and suspended registration.

Summary: Steven J. Rozycki, age 55, of 16125 Golfview Drive in Lockport was cited for driving while license suspended and was held on an active warrant.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into the store and stole 35 cartons of Newport cigarettes and 20 cartons of Kool cigarettes. A complete list of stolen merchandise was not available at time of this report.

Summary: Person/s unknown damaged two entry door windows of the business. It appeared that offender/s did not enter the store.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a retired officer’s IL State Police I.D. card and ISP wallet badge.
5/19 Location: W. 151st and S. Parker Rd.
Summary: Birute Siauliene, age 60, of 112 Olesen Drive in Naperville was cited for disobeying a stop sign and driving while license suspended.
5/21 Location: 14000 block of S. Teal Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown shattered the back window of a vehicle.
Location: 13000 block of S. Maple Avenue
Summary: Victim stated while mowing his lawn on May 18th the mower became stuck in a drainage ditch next to the street. With failed attempts to remove it he removed the key and left the mower there until he could get help. Person/s unknown stole the lawn mower.
Location: 13000 block of W. Ironwood Circle
Summary: Person/s unknown carved a profanity into the hood of a vehicle and threw a brick paver at the windshield causing the window to crack.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
5/14 Location: 30000 block of S. State Line Rd. Beecher
Summary: Victim stated that upon arriving to her residence at 1:40pm she heard a strange noise coming from inside her house. When she went into her kitchen she observed thru a window a small silver vehicle parked behind her house with a dark skinned female sitting in the driver’s seat. She also observed her flat screen TV sitting on the floor of the kitchen. The victim then left the house and hid outside. Once the victim saw the vehicle leave she re-entered her residence and as she approached a bedroom she observed a dark skinned male who closed the door once he saw the victim. The victim then left the house, went to neighbors and called 911. Deputies arrived and cleared the house. It was unclear at time of report what was missing. Offenders left the TV behind.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole several pieces of jewelry.
5/16 Location: 2300 block of W. Norfolk Avenue Crete
Summary: Persons/ unknown entered a residence and stole about $200 in change, a class ring from 1975, Clearwater High School and a class ring from a high school in Atlanta, GA.
5/17 Location: 4300 block of W. Pauling Rd. Monee
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a residence under renovation and stole copper piping, an air compressor, two step ladders, a spray paint gun, a 4ft. level, two large industrial fans, and a radio.

Summary: Person/s unknown stole 25 4” pieces of steel conduit and two loading racks from a driveway.

Summary: David P. Zacharias, age 32, of 306 Dundee Drive in Lockport was arrested for criminal damage to property.

Summary: An unknown male pumped $27.52 worth of gasoline into his vehicle and drove off without paying.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a camper over the winter months and stole a jar of change.
