FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

4/9       Location:  19730 S. Harlem                Frankfort                     Speedway

            Summary:  Victim stated at about 3pm she was putting air into her front tire and when she got back into her vehicle she realized person/s unknown had entered her vehicle and stole her purse. 

 

            Location:  S. Harlem and W. Hickory Creek              Frankfort

            Summary:  Michael J. Parker, age 47, of 342 Tullamore in Matteson was arrested for driving the wrong way on divided highway, improper lane usage, driving with expired license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI.

 

            Location:  900 block of Harmoni Lane                       New Lenox

            Summary:  Person/s unknown damaged two vehicles by placing a scratch along the length of both vehicles.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. 78th Avenue                  Frankfort

            Summary:  Frankfort Fire Department extinguished a fully engulfed abandoned residence.  Under investigation.

 

4/10     Location:  Sycamore Drive and S. Western Ave.                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Shirley Duvilaire, age 46, of 159 Blackhawk in Park Forest was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  100 block of Laura Lane                           New Lenox

            Summary:  Brian J. Mohan, Jr., age 22, of 716 S. Cooper Road in New Lenox was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI after he lost control of his vehicle while talking on his cell phone and struck a parked trailer.

 

            Location:  7818 W. Lincoln Highway                        Frankfort                     Hot Grill Restaurant

            Summary:  Victim stated she stopped in at the restaurant at about noon to get something to eat.  While eating she sat her purse in the vacant seat next to her.  Upon leaving she realized person/s unknown stole her purse.

 

4/12     Location:  18600 S. Parker Road                    Frankfort                     Verizon Wireless

            Summary:  Employee stated person/s unknown entered the property and stole a copper buss bar.

 

4/13     Location:  7218 W. Lincoln Highway                        Frankfort                     Speedway

            Summary:  Deputies were called about 5pm to a theft in progress.  Upon arrival they spoke to a manager who stated that she observed a male black subject enter the store and began a disturbance with other customers.  When the manager confronted the subject he began yelling at her.  The male subject then left the store and continued the disturbance in the parking lot.  The manager followed the subject outside and upon exiting the store a second male black individual entered the store and loaded items into a cloth bag.  The second subject stole 3 bottles of Tide detergent, a box of tampons, a bottle of Clorox bleach, and 6 quarts of Pennzoil oil.  Both subjects then entered a red Chrysler Sebring and sped off.

 

4/14     Location:  22000 block of S. Wolf Rd.                      Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown forced entry into a van.  Nothing was stolen.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Mallory Drive               Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown cut the sidewalls on all four tires of a van.

 

4/15     Location:  22000 block of S. Spencer Road               New Lenox

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a storage building and stole several tools and building materials.  At time of report the items missing was not completed.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

4/9       Location:  14144 S. Bell Road                       GNC

            Summary:  Employee stated while stocking shelves he observed a male subject who seemed suspicious.  While watching the subject the employee observed the man take four bottles of Strip Natural Cleanser Vitamin Supplements and leave the store.  The employee chased the subject and upon catching him a physical altercation ensued.  The subject then entered a white Volkswagen Passat that was parked in the back of the parking lot and took off.  The employee recovered the stolen items that were dropped by the offender.

 

4/11     Location:  14200 Stonebridge                        Village of Homer Glen Playground

            Summary:  Person/s unknown caused damage to the ‘play web’ by rolling it off the braces that anchored it to the ground.

 

4/12     Location:  15861 S. Bell Road                       Shell Gas

            Summary:  At about 1:20am a male white individual entered the store and stole a 4 foot cardboard advertising sign (in the shape of a child), for Children’s Miracle Hospital.  The subject exited the store and entered a silver vehicle and took off.

 

            Location:  16000 block of S. Cedar Rd.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole numerous work tools from the bed of a truck.

 

4/13     Location:  S. Cedar Rd. and W. Victoria Crossing

            Summary:  Terence J. Wesley, age 27, of 16418 S. Dorchester Place in Lockport was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  14000 block of W. Cinnamon Creek Lane

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a shed and stole a chainsaw, gas blower, two lawn trimmers, and a power washer.

 

4/14     Location:  12330 W. 143rd St.             Smokers Expo

            Summary:  Store manager stated an unknown male individual entered his store and stole five Monte Cristo cigars with a total price of $85.  The manager observed the subject placing the cigars into his pocket of his cargo shorts and followed him out of the store.  The manager then followed the offender in his vehicle to Dominick’s in Homer Glen and confronted the man.  The offender denied stealing the cigars and took off in his 2000 Ford F-150 pickup.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

4/9       Location:  25000 block of W. Caton Farm Road                   Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown spray painted graffiti on the side of a barn.

 

4/10     Location:  S. Budler Road and W. Lakewood Falls Drive                Plainfield

            Summary:  Sergio r. Garay, age 38, of 21734 W. Ivanhoe Trail in Plainfield was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and a traffic sign violation.

 

4/13     Location:  16000 block of S. McGrath Drive             Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown punctured a tire on a vehicle.

 

4/14     Location:  20000 block of W. Honeysuckle Court                 Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown cut the screen and removed it from a residence.  Nothing was missing from the home.

 

            Location:  17000 block of S. Lily Cache Road                      Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown opened the window of a residence.  Nothing was missing from inside.

 

4/15     Location:  19000 block of W. Janet Avenue              DuPage

            Summary:  Person/s unknown flattened all four tires on a vehicle.

 

JOLIET

 

4/9       Location:  W. Renwick Rd. and S. Weber Road

            Summary:  Alejandro Lopez Gomez, age 28, of 408 Walnut in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

 

4/10     Location:  14 W. Jefferson Street                   Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Erin H. Donahue, female, age 28, of 6749 Southpoint in Tinley Park was charged with defrauding a drug test after she was observed with a 1.49 oz. bottle of scope with a urine sample in it.

 

            Location:  600 block of Linden Avenue

            Summary:  Witnesses stated they observed a red pickup truck with a white stripe down the side back into the residence and three unknown subjects get out and kick in the back door of a residence.  They then observed the men remove a stove and refrigerator and place them on the bed of the truck and drive off.

 

4/11     Location:  N. Bluff and W. Jefferson

            Summary:  George Zavala, age 18, of 510 Ohio in Joliet was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams, DUI/drugs, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver’s license, and speeding.

 

            Location:  14 W. Jefferson Street                   Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Krystal D. Wisniewski, age 24, of 3740 153rd Place in Midlothian was charged with defrauding a drug test after she was observed with a urine sample in a Purell hand sanitizer bottle and a rubber stopper hidden in the leg of her pants.

 

            Location:  E. Cass and Highland Park Drive

            Summary:  Marvin Grant, age 43, of 1511 Taylor in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked and improper lane usage.

 

            Location:  1100 block of Karner Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole a power drill, tile cutter, a Ruger .357 revolver, and a box of .38 special ammo.

 

4/12     Location:  Ingalls and Plainfield

            Summary:  Tyran E. Pruitte, age 40, of 320 N. Briggs in Joliet was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, and speeding.

 

 

 

            Location:  22645 S. Cherry Hill Road

            Summary:  An employee of Welsch Ready Mix stated that they are taking down a concrete plant at the Cherry Hill address.  Between 4/6/12 the 4/9/12 person/s unknown entered the property and stole approximately $10,000 worth of steel beams and steel pipes.  The employee then went to All American Recycling on New Lenox Road and spoke with an employee there who stated that two men had been to their location selling the steal.  The steel beams and pipes were returned to the employee.   Under investigation.

 

            Location:  600 block of Sandell Place

            Summary:  Deputies were called to a burglary in progress where witnesses observed a red van on scene with two females and one male removing scrap metal from a vacant home.  Thorston Smith, Jr., age 24, of 217 Barr Elms Avenue in Joliet, along with the two females, were taken to Will County Investigations where they were interviewed.  Smith was charged with burglary and criminal trespass to property.

 

            Location:  S. Chicago and I80

            Summary:  Jordan M. Williams, age 19, of 360 E. 1st Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  1800 block of E. Washington

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 1999 Honda Civic.

 

4/13     Location:  5th Avenue and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Carl Holley, age 49, of 15131 6th Avenue in Phoenix, IL was cited for driving while license revoked and failure to yield turning left.

 

            Location:  600 block of W. Zarley Blvd.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown kicked in a door in order to gain entry into a residence.  Stolen were a 32” TV, a laptop, a Vizio Vtab tablet, and two Playstation III gaming systems.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago Street                      Will County Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Alchere F. Fox, age 26, of 1123 N. Hickory in Joliet was charged with possession of cannabis under 30 grams.

 

            Location:  N. Briggs and E. Cass

            Summary:  Juan a. Garcia, age 24, of 514 N. Hickory in Joliet was arrested for speeding and DUI.

 

4/14     Location:  Caton Farm and Golfview Drive

            Summary:  Michael E. Rossi, Jr., age 24, of 18 W. 9th Street in Lockport was cited for no valid driver’s license and speeding.

 

            Location:  W. Al Wilhelmi Drive and Essington Road

            Summary:  Carl E. Johnson, age 33, of 2519 Reflections Drive in Crest Hill was arrested for DUI and speeding.

 

            Location:  Algonquin and Sterling

            Summary:  Jessica Boshears, age 18, of 419 Mohawk in Joliet was arrested for battery.

 

4/15     Location:  Sterling and Walnut

            Summary:  Richard M. Sigman, age 20, of 1412 N. Center in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, failure to properly secure child under 8 in appropriate child restraint and disobeying a stop sign.

 

 

 

            Location:  100 block of Independence Ave.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a detached garage and stole a 2003 Yamaha mini bike and a 2006 Yamaha ATV.

 

            Location:  2nd Avenue and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Robert L. Guthrie, age 34, of 130 Davison in Joliet was cited for squealing tires, no taillights, and driving while license suspended.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

4/9       Location:  S. Cottage Grove and S. Rt. 394               Crete

            Summary:  Mark J. Schumacher, age 39, of 834 Hodges in Beecher was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  S. Kings Rd. and W. Steger Rd.               Steger

            Summary:  Bianca K. Cox, age 22, of 410 W. 34th in Steger was cited for failure to signal and driving while license suspended.

 

4/12     Location:  28000 block of S. Yates                Beecher

            Summary:  Person/s unknown removed a 2003 Biltrite flatbed trailer from a property.

 

4/13     Location:  E. 34th and Phillips Avenue                       Steger

            Summary:  Aaron Swidergal, age 30, of 3529 Sangamon in Steger was cited for loud muffler and driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  S. Dixie Highway and w. New Monee Road                    Crete

            Summary:  Dennis E. Roper, age 34, of 648 Pasadena in Beecher was arrested for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper lane usage.

 

4/15     Location:  26737 Balmoral Woods Drive                   Crete               Balmoral Woods Country Club

            Summary: Manager stated person/s unknown drove an ATV on the green near the west side of the golf course causing damage.

 

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

4/9       Location:  S. Old Chicago Rd. and W. Wilmington Peotone Rd.                 Wilmington

            Summary:  Donna K. Kelly, age 73, of 31440 S. Smith Road in Wilmington was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after she struck a semi truck from the rear.  She was transported to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.

 

            Location:  8100 block of W. Joliet Rd.                      Peotone

            Summary:  Robert A. Nelson, age 51, of 5247 W. Main in Monee was cited for failure to yield private road and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  3195 E. Division                Diamond Shell

            Summary:  Person/s unknown filled their vehicle with $96.74 worth of gasoline and took off without paying.

 

4/10     Location:  3195 E. Division                Diamond Shell

            Summary:  Person/s unknown filled their vehicle with $64.20 worth of gasoline and took off without paying.

 

4/12     Location:  300 block of N. Robert Drive                    Godley

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a storage shed and stole a full gas can.

 

4/13     Location:  W. Millsdale and S. Rt. 53                        Jackson

            Summary:  Brandon C. Dawson, age 23, of 73 Rockledge Drive in Romeoville was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.

 

4/15     Location:  S. Schoolhouse and W. Smith Road                     Manhattan

            Summary:  Melissa L. Miller, age 31, of 15015 W. Albright Court in Lockport was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disregarding a stop sign after she lost control of her vehicle, struck a guard rail, went down a ditch, and flipped her vehicle over onto a tree.  She was transported to Silver Cross Hospital.

 

LOCKPORT

 

4/9       Location:  100 block of Barry Avenue

            Summary:  Several residents stated to deputies that around 1:30pm they heard several shots fired in the area of Barry Avenue and Central Park.  A mail delivery man also heard the shots and dove to the ground seeking cover.  He was not injured.

 

4/11     Location:  20702 Gaskin Drive                       Mower Services Truck Repair

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole several Snap On hand tools from a tool box.

 

4/12     Location:  300 block of Robson Drive                      

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole several power tools from a utility box.

 

4/14     Location:  May and Nobes

            Summary:  Donald R. Morgan, age 18, of 100 Ravinia Drive in Shorewood was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

 

4/15     Location:  200 block of Barry Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole a 44” TV.
