Summary: Person/s unknown stole two “No Detention Center” signs that were in front of a residence.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole four bags of clothing.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered two vehicles and stole a GPS unit from one of them.
Location: 1800 block of W. Indiana Avenue Beecher
Summary: Michael C. Gardner, age 31, of 22220 Willow Tree in Sauk Village was arrested for residential burglary and theft over $500 after the homeowner, upon returning home, observed him leaving the residence. Deputies made a traffic stop on Gardner and he was taken into custody.

3/10 Location: E. 34th and Union Steger
Summary: Amanda O’Neal, age 18, of 528 W. Auburn Lane in Crete was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams and possession of drug equipment.
3/11 Location: 26000 block of S. Murray Drive Crete
Summary: George C. Wilson, age 29, of 2144 E. Bemes Road in Crete was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after he left the roadway and struck a large tree. He was transported to St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, IN for a head injury and broken leg.

Summary: An older model red mini-van with wood trim was seen leaving private property. The owner stated that two lawn mowers, three engine motors and 30 metal field disk blades were stolen.

Summary: Dennis L. Leeper, age 40, of 1217 W. Corning Road in Beecher was arrested for illegal transportation of alcohol and obstructing justice. He was held on two no bond warrants from Michigan and Indiana.

Summary: An unknown male pumped $22 worth of gasoline into his vehicle and took off without paying.

Summary: James Greathouse, age 52, of 115 W. Waupansie in Dwight was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
3/9 Location: 27155 S. Kankakee Lincoln Generating Facility Manhattan
Summary: Between 3/1 and 3/9 person/s unknown broke into a garage and stole a porcelain, copper and aluminum insulator ($1690).
Location: 35000 block of S. Zilm Road Wilmington
Summary: A male white driver was seen in a later model black mid-size pickup truck with a large red Dodge Ram sticker in the back window and a red stripe on the bed door. He was observed loading scrap metal into the bed of his truck. The metal was stolen from private property.

Summary: Penny L. Petersen, age 40, of 712 Plainfield Road in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
3/9 Location: W. Bruce Road and S. Farrell
Summary: Tiffany A. Morales, age 22, of 1308 McCameron in Lockport was cited for driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, and following too closely.
3/10 Location: South Avenue and S. State
Summary: Miesha A. Peterson, age 26, of 1320 Cedarwood Drive in Crest Hill was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended. Peterson was held on an active Will County FTA warrant.

Summary: Jeffrey A. Cheney, age 23, of 210 Dell Park Avenue in Lockport was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams and obstructing a peace officer.

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a home and stole several prescription medications, USC, and a .22 Ruger handgun.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
3/6 Location: Book Road and Wagner Road Wheatland
Summary: Matthew T. Moran, age 18, of 2639 Snowbird Lane in Naperville was cited for failure to yield right of way after he struck a 68 year old woman who was walking across the street. Moran was making a left turn when the accident occurred. The woman was transported to Edward Hospital with a broken wrist, facial fractures and a concussion.
3/8 Location: 19000 block of W. John Kirkham Drive DuPage
Summary: Person/s unknown entered three unlocked vehicles and stole an IPod out of one of the vehicles.
HOMER GLEN
3/6 Location: 14355 S. Bell Road Blueberry Hill Café
Summary: Deputies were called at 3:24pm and spoke with a witness who observed two unknown males, one black and one white, enter the property next door to the café and then leave in a newer model silver Dodge Ram with red racing stripes down the middle. The front door lock had been broken from the door. The owner of the café also owned the property next door and was unsure at time of report if anything was stolen.

Summary: Mieczyslaw Mrowca, age 53, of this address, was charged with carrying a weapon without a FOID card after he was found to be shooting a .22 into the air at his residence.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a garage and damaged a Kubota tractor by breaking out the lights, shattering the dash cover, and breaking the fuel filter causing the diesel fuel to leak out.

Summary: Eric C. Peterson, age 23, of 1 NE Circle Drive in Joliet was arrested for possession of cannabis under 30 grams, driving while license revoked, and no seat belts.

Summary: Gary E. Wojtasik, age 24, of this address and Tiffany K. Finefield, age 27, of this address, were arrested after the Will County Sheriff’s Office Gang Suppression Unit and other assisting agencies executed a search warrant at the address. Wojtasik was leaving the residence when deputies made a traffic stop and he was brought back to the house. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a peace officer, driving while license suspended, possession of a weapon by a felon, disregarding a stop sign, and failure to signal. Finefield was charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstructing justice.
