Summary: Person/s unknown threw a small brick into the rear window of a vehicle.

Location: 13000 block of Maverick Trail
Summary: A jogger returned a purse that he had found on the roadway with the personal contents of the victim’s scattered about the driveway and curb. The purse had been taken from an unlocked vehicle that was parked inside a garage. The garage door was mistakenly left open during the evening. $40 was taken from the purse.

Summary: Robert M. Sanchez, age 24, of 505 Schroeder Avenue in Peotone was cited for driving too fast for conditions after his vehicle slid through a stop sign and struck another vehicle. The pavement was wet at the time.

Summary: Victim stated he received a call from LaSalle Bank who informed him that someone had made four transactions totaling about $1,000 from the Wal Mart in Lockport. The victim still had possession of his credit card but shopped in the store two days previous, and used his credit card and assumes someone stole the card # at that time.

Summary: A two vehicle accident occurred when a Ford pick-up trucks’ brakes failed, causing the driver to crash into the rear of another vehicle. No one was injured, no tickets.

Summary: Danny S. Osburn, age 21, of 10233 Huntington Court in Orland Park was cited for speeding, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Victim stated someone stole 30’ of copper pipe and fittings, and a gas regulator from outside his residence.

Summary: Vinicio Gomez Morales, age 31, of 6124 Fairfield in Chicago was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and obstructing the windshield.

Summary: Victim found several credit card charges on his Bank of America Visa that he did not make. $230 was charged to an Apple computer Internet site, along with three other charges to Internet sites.
Location: 12000 block of Oak Valley Trail
Summary: Victim stated while leaving her residence at 12:30 p.m. she observed a male white, 5’9”, about 40 years of age, heavy build, stubbled beard, wearing gray sweatpants and a baggy gray t-shirt, standing in her driveway. When confronted the offender asked if her house was for sale. The victim responded, “No, the corner house is” at which time the offender said that the sign on the street was confusing. Arriving home a few minutes later, two of the victim’s family members observed the same suspect climbing around one of their basement windows, opening it. The offender saw the family members and pulled out a cell phone, walked towards the street and jumped in an unoccupied silver four door, possibly a Dodge Charger, and fled eastbound towards Bell Road. The hinges on the basement window had been badly damaged.

Summary: Crescencio Arenas, age 31, of 657 4th Avenue in Joliet was arrested for obstruction of a peace officer after he failed to give deputies his correct name on two instances. He was also cited for driving on a suspended license, and failure to yield when turning right.

Summary: Victim stated while her vehicle was parked at the Belmont AC, unknown person/s entered her unlocked BMW and removed her wallet containing her license, a prescription, and five family members social security cards. The offender attempted to get a prescription refill from the doctor but was unsuccessful. (Prescription type unknown)

Summary: Victim stated he found his glove box and console of his truck open and rifled through. He also observed his neighbor’s vehicle next door, with the doors wide open.

Summary: An elderly victim stated that person/s unknown sprayed an unknown substance all over her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway overnight. The substance appeared to be some type of white foamy cleaner and pealed the paint off the metal surfaces.
Location: 1533 Spencer Road Girl Scouts of America Office
Summary: Person/s unknown stole an outside air conditioner condensing unit from the west side of the building. An electrical cable had been cut and a fuse box was damaged and the fuses were stolen. The exact date of the robbery was unknown.

Summary: Will County Gang/Drug Suppression Unit executed a search warrant and arrested David Vincent Velasquez, age 25, of this address. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID card, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. Richard Hernandez, age 46, of this address, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and held on an outstanding Jackson County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Summary: Victim stated while away at the store person/s unknown drove a large truck thru the front yard of her residence. A neighbor stated that during the 5th inning of the Cubs game he heard a noise, looked out the window and observed the truck backing thru the yard causing damage to the lawn.

Summary: Larry James Kleikamp, age 17, of 24639 W. Caton Farm Road in Plainfield was arrested for criminal damage to property after the victim observed Kleikamp driving thru his yard in his F250 pickup and followed him until police arrived.

Summary: Randell J. Smolich, age 34, 1709 Oakland Avenue in Crest Hill, and James S. Greer, age 54, of the Plaza Hotel in Joliet were both arrested for theft after they were observed dragging scrap steel off of private property.

Summary: Victim stated she had several fine jewelry pieces stolen from her jewelry box. She had recently hired a lawn caretaker who she believed may have been responsible. Under investigation.

Grubaugh, age 32, of 308 Shady Lane in Shorewood was transported to Provena St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit after he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and went airborne. No update on his condition was known at time of this report.

Summary: Person/s unknown used some sort of firework or explosive to melt a mailbox.
Location: 9000 block of Dralle Road Green Garden
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked shed behind a residence and stole a 2002 green Yamaha ATV. The keys were also left with the vehicle upon its disappearance.

Summary: Latricia B. Cooper, age 23, of 745 Red Oak Lane in University Park was cited for driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Sheriff’s deputies made a routine traffic stop relating to a vehicle traveling with no headlights at 9:45 p.m. Arrested was: John D. Hudson, age 50, of 16323 Wolcott in Markham for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested was Frank E. Rasmussen, age 29, of 2427 W. 175th Street in Homewood for resisting arrest and was held with an active Cook County warrant for theft.

Summary: Victim stated after paying the balance on her hospital bill she accidentally left her wallet on the counter and exited the building. 20 minutes later she returned to the hospital and the wallet was gone. Videotape surveillance was working properly at the time. Investigators are reviewing the tapes.

Summary: Victim stated within the last few weeks several business employee’s have been in her residence fixing a number of things, i.e. Comcast, the “Geek Squad”, an electrician, carpet installers. Upon looking for some of her fine jewelry she discovered it was stolen.

Summary: Victim stated person/s unknown, between 1am and 5am, stole his Honda generator from his driveway. The generator had been running because of a power outage in the area.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a Discover Card. Discover employee’s contacted the victim a few days later informing him of suspicious activity.

Location: 25000 block of 88th Avenue Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown cut the padlocks off a door and entered a garage. Once inside the offenders stole a new weed whacker with attachments and a generator. Victim stated about three weeks prior to this date person/s unknown broke into his garage and stole a weed whacker and a 27-gallon tank with sprayer attachments but did not report it at the time.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked garage service door and then an unlocked GMC Yukon and stole a purse and wallet. Offender also stole a dirt bike from the garage.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked Ford Explorer and stole a Gucci purse, $20 USC, credit cards, a set of work keys and an employee ID. Victim later found her wallet with the driver’s license still in it.
