FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

3/28

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. 84th Ave.                                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked Ford F-250 and stole it.  The keys had been left inside the vehicle.  Deputies later located the vehicle unoccupied in the 8300 block of North Avenue.

 

            Location:  7500 block of W. Hawthorne Lane                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two vehicles.  Nothing was missing.

 

            Location:  7500 block of W. Hickory Creek                          Frankfort

            Summary:  Due to a high volume of burglary to motor vehicles and a stolen vehicle, deputies were on alert for possible suspects in the area.  They observed a Chevy Traverse, matching the description of a stolen vehicle, occupied by two male black subjects.  Deputies activated their emergency lights to make a traffic stop.  The vehicle came to a stop but as a deputy began getting out of his vehicle the Traverse took off.  Deputies followed the vehicle but the pursuit was terminated for public safety.

 

            Location:  8300 block of W. Hill Avenue                              Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two vehicles and stole a Galaxy S7 phone and a debit card.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Hickory Creek                          Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a hooded sweater.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Frankfort Square Road            Frankfort

            Summary:  Upon deputies arrival they observed two male black subjects wearing dark clothing.  When the subjects saw the deputies approaching they immediately began to run.  The deputy pursued them through two backyards but lost them after they climbed a wooden fence.   A canvas of the area met with negative results.   (While on scene taking this report, deputies received the following call)

 

            Location:  7500 block of W. Hickory Creek                          Frankfort

            Summary:  Deputies spoke to a victim who stated that she started her 2017 Chevy Traverse and left it running in the driveway as she went back inside her home for a few minutes.  She heard her dog barking and upon looking out the front window saw that her vehicle was gone. OnStar was contacted and disabled the vehicle.  It was later located near Ingleside and 79th Street in Chicago. 

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Woodlawn Court                     Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle.  Nothing was missing.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Oak Lane                                  Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two vehicles.  Nothing was missing from one of them; an old GPS was missing from the other.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. Frankfort Square Rd.               Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole some change and a $400 pair of sunglasses. 

 

 

            Location:  7500 block of W. Hawthorne Lane                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown forced entry into an F150 truck and stole a driverís license.

 

            Location:  700 block of Wisconsin Rd.                                  New Lenox

            Summary:  Michael J. Goodman, age 57, of 8591 High Stone Way in Frankfort was arrested for DUI.

 

3/29     Location:  7500 block of W. Hawthorne Lane                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown damaged a passenger van by putting scratches on the driverís side door and multiple scratches and dents on the top of the door jam.

 

            Location:  20000 block of S. North Court                              Frankfort

            Summary:  A resident called deputies regarding an abandoned vehicle in front of a residence that had been sitting along the roadway for two days.  Deputies ran the license plate of the 2016 Honda Civic and it came back as reported stolen to the Chicago Police.  Several items were found inside the vehicle that had been reported as stolen from previous burglaries to motor vehicles in the Frankfort area.

 

(NOTE:   All of the above reports are being investigated.  No one has been charged at this time.)

 

3/30     Location:  19420 S. Harlem                                        Frankfort   Lennyís Food and Fuel

            Summary:  An unknown black male entered the store, grabbed four cases of Red bull, and ran out without paying for the items.  The subject got into a Chrysler and drove off. 

 

3/31     Location:  S. Schoolhouse Road and E. Lincoln Highway                New Lenox

            Summary:  Tomas Rico, age 41, of 13415 Greenwood Avenue in Blue Island was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, failure to secure load, and operating a vehicle without a safety sticker.

 

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

4/1       Location:  31715 SE Frontage Road                          Wilmington

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 12 volt battery from a pontoon boat that was being stored in a storage locker at T & R Storage.  The offender/s broke the lock of the unit in order to gain entry.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

3/28     Location:  S. Nacke and W. New Monee                   Crete

            Summary:  Brandon Phipps, age 25, of 31125 S. Cottage Grove Avenue in Beecher was arrested for DUI, DUI/drugs, no tail lights, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage.

 

3/31     Location:  S. Western and W. Wolpers Rd.               Crete

            Summary:  Regan J. Karl, age 31, of 337 Nokomis in Park Forest was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

4/1       Location:  S. Ridgeland and W. Dralle Rd.               Monee

            Summary:  Victor Perez, age 26, of 9732 S. Ave M in Chicago was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.

 

4/2       Location:  S. Cottage Grove and E. Burville Road      Crete

            Summary:  Samantha Lathus, age 22, of 1792 S. Dixie in Crete was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

            Location:  E. Steger and S. Rt. 394                            Crete

            Summary:  Monica J. Decker, age 26, of 9775 Joliet Street in St. John, IN was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of contraband in a penal institution and possession of drug equipment.

 

LOCKPORT

 

3/29     Location:  W. Oak and Brassel                                  

            Summary:  Shannon McKenna, age 31, of 316 Laurie Drive in Lockport was arrested for disobeying a stop sign and possession of a controlled substance.

 

3/30     Location:  200 block of Fairmont

\           Summary:  Takia M. L. Barrentine, age 25, of 1511 Fairmont Avenue in Joliet was arrested for battery and criminal trespass to property.

 

3/31     Location:  3051 S. State St.                Lockport Steel Fabricators

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered the property and stole a catalytic converter off of a van.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

4/3       Location:  14000 block of W. 159th St.

            Summary:  Ryan McGrath, age 19, of 18133 S. Haas Road in Mokena was cited for no tail lights, failure to notify SOS of address change and driving while license suspended.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

3/28     Location:  13000 block of S. Tamarack Drive                                    Plainfield

            Summary:  Victim stated she attempted to buy a 2015 golf cart through, what she thought, was Amazon from a seller in Baltimore, Md.  The cost was $1,000 and contact was made through emails.  The seller advised the victim to purchase two Amazon gift cards for $500 each and then send the card numbers to the seller via email.  After a few days, and no response from the seller, the victim contacted Amazon who told her that their company does not use gift cards to make purchases. 

 

3/29     Location:  244 Karen Circle                            DuPage

            Summary:  Quincy Lee McCoy, age 30, of this address was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

 

            Location:  16360 S. Lincoln Highway                        Dunkin Donuts                       Plainfield

            Summary:  About 8pm an employee heard someone rattling the drive-thru window.  The employee opened the window and an unknown white male with blue eyes and blonde eyebrows stuck his arms and a gun inside the window and requested all the money from the register.  The employee complied.  Under investigation.

 

3/30     Location:  W. 127th and W. Rt. 30                             Plainfield

            Summary:  Drew A. Sajdak, age 23, of 25201 W. Jacob Fry Drive in Plainfield was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

4/1       Location:  S. County Line Road and Rt. 126             Plainfield

            Summary:  Ashley Hudson, age 25, of 103 S. East St. in Newark, IL was arrested for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

 

            Location:  14000 block of S. Silver Lane                   Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the rear window of a vehicle and stole a purse.

 

4/2       Location:  300 block of DePaul Court                                    DuPage

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked shed and stole a generator and an extension cord.

 

JOLIET

 

3/28     Location:  Plainfield Road and Gaylord

            Summary:  Tyree Cholen Reddick, age 35, of 416 Willow Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration.

 

3/30     Location:  500 block of Schribner

            Summary:  Person/s unknown threw a brick through the rear window of a vehicle.

 

            Location:  400 block of N. Briggs

            Summary:  Person/s unknown vandalized two vehicles by throwing bricks at the windshields causing them to shatter.

 

3/31     Location:  14 W. Jefferson St.                        Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Maggie L. McVey, age 30, of 1015 Highland in Lockport was arrested for defrauding a drug test.

 

            Location:  Rowell and 2nd Avenue

            Summary:  Rosalio Quinones, age 53, of 16 N. Hickory St. in Joliet was cited for no front license plate, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  Collins and E. Jackson

            Summary:  Norberto Garnica, age 34, of 710 Ellis in Joliet was cited for improper lane usagfe, driving while license suspended and no registration light.

 

4/1       Location:  Henderson and E. Jackson

            Summary:  Perrion Hayes, age 28, of 105 Stevens in Joliet was cited for defective windshield, no valid driverís license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Henderson and Meeker

            Summary:  Martin Morales-Bustos, age 34, of 617 Hickory in Joliet was cited for disregarding a stop sign, no registration lights and driving while license revoked.

 

4/2       Location:  N. Briggs and Maple

            Summary:  Tony D. Donegan, age 39, of 1403 Yarrow Drive in Joliet was cited for improper lane usage, obstructed driverís view, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Draper and Maple

            Summary:  Mauriana Griffin, age 26, of 316 Dellwood in Lockport was cited for no front plate and driving while license suspended.

 

4/3       Location:  14 W. Jefferson St.                        Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Jessica L. Tait, age 29, of 904 Robin Hill Drive in Shorewood was arrested for defrauding a drug test.
