3/10 Location: 23000 block of W. Bluff Road
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 1993 Freighliner semi tractor from a parking lot.
Location: 300 block of Jessie
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole the stereo system.
Location: 300 S. Park Road
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit.
Location: Blodgett and Kelly Road
Summary: A subcontractor for Com Ed left his T185 Rayco mower after finishing for the day cutting brush under ComEd power lines. When he returned person/s unknown had removed the wires from the engine and took the oil cap.
Location: 40 Mills Road Rendel’s Towing
Summary: At 1:30am Rendel’s towed a 2001 Hyundai Elantra from Doris and Chicago St. after Sheriff’s deputies had made a traffic stop on the owner. At 6am a Rendel’s employee observed person/s unknown had cut the chain on two separate gates and unscrewed the nuts and bolts that help secure a wire cable that is used as a barrier near the impound lot. The Elantra was missing. At 9:30pm Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle in the driveway of the owner but he was not home at the time. Sheriff’s deputies contacted Rendel’s for the vehicle to be towed. Under investigation.

Summary: Fidencio Robles, age 45, of 1217 S. Briggs Street in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a stop sign.
Location: Briggs and Elgin
Summary: At 2:11am, while on routine patrol, Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle deputies observed unknown objects appearing to be large black bags piled up in the back seat of the vehicle, obstructing the view of the driver. After a search of the vehicle and questioning from Will County Sheriff’s detectives, Anthony C. Esco, age 20, of 2106 California Avenue in Lockport and Andre L. Nash, Jr., of 338 Princeton Avenue in Lockport were arrested for burglary, delivery of cannabis, illegal possession of cannabis under 30 grams, theft of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and burglary-school or place of worship. Esco was also cited for no proof of insurance and speeding. Esco and Nash were allegedly involved in burglarizing the Head to Toe Fashion Boutique at 360 W. Jefferson Street in Joliet, where several clothing items, shoes, and perfumes were taken shortly before the traffic stop occurred.
3/11 Location: Larken and Black Road
Summary: Jacinto Garcia-Romero, age 32, of 221 Vertin Blvd. in Shorewood was arrested for improper lane usage, no insurance, no valid license and DUI.

Summary: Jeremy D. Sterrett, age 23, of 514 Grant Avenue in Joliet was cited for improper lane usage and driving on a revoked license.
3/12 Location: 600 block of Algonquin
Summary: Person/s unknown broke out the side window of a tow truck that was parked in a residence driveway.
Location: Essington and Jefferson
Summary: Shane F. Kelly, age 26, of 805 Brentwood Drive in Joliet was arrested for DUI, DUI over the legal limit and speeding.
3/13 Location: I80 EB and Richards Street
Summary: Douglas James Jurkas, age 38, of 1412 William in Joliet was arrested for improper turn at intersection, failure to signal, DUI and DUI over the legal limit.
Location: Quarry Road
Summary: Victim stated while returning home with her 18 year old son, she observed a light skinned male black or a Hispanic man walking across the street in front of her home carrying a pink guitar and a green bag, which she identified as a guitar that belonged to her daughter. The son exited the vehicle and chased the man, at which time he dropped the property. Upon returning to their home they observed an entrance door to be forced open. The green bag contained several power tools that belonged to them. Stolen from inside the home were a flat screen TV, an X-Box gaming system, various games, cell phone and several miscellaneous pieces of jewelry. A suspect is being investigated.

Summary: Frank Baggett II, age 32, of 2124 N. 21st Street in Melrose Park was arrested for aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer after deputies responded to a disturbance and Baggett became agitated and refused to cooperate.

Summary: Ronald I. Ramirez, Jr., age 23, of 3 Rye Court in Bolingbrook was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm after a fight began inside the bar at which time a security guard removed the two offenders outside when Ramirez approached them and fired three rounds into the air with a 9mm handgun. The guard and Ramirez had a brief physical encounter when the gun was again fired. No one was injured.

Summary: Robert E. Barton, age 42, of 824 Magnolia in Joliet was arrested for DUI, DUI over the legal limit and improper lane usage.
3/14 Location: 18000 block of S. Farrell Road
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole a Playstation III system, DVD player, Xbox controllers, Playstation Eye Toy, 2 Fender electric guitars, 1 Les Paul electric guitar, several CD’s and DVD’s.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
3/8 Location: Steger Road and Western Avenue Park Forest
Summary: Myron Wordlaw, age 30, of 1418 W. 110th Place in Chicago was cited for obstructed rear license plate, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: 11103 W. Dralle Road Green Garden
Summary: Matthew B. Eastman, age 20, of this address, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm after he and Nicholas A. Bastian, age 20, of 27359 Wildwood in Monee were returning to Eastman’s home after shooting at an abandoned farmhouse with a 45 caliber handgun and a 22 caliber rifle. The two then stopped their vehicle in order to shoot the guns again at which time Eastman accidentally shot himself in the right hand. Emergency personnel were called and he was transported to Silver Cross Hospital. Bastian was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
3/9 Location: Center Road and Wilmington-Peotone Peotone
Summary: Jan A. Dykstra, age 46, of 14419 Woodland Avenue in Orland Park was transported to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee for non-life threatening injuries after she lost control of her vehicle, flipped it and struck a pole. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident and disobeying a stop sign.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
3/9 Location: 3002 E. Division Egizio’s Bar and Grill Diamond
Summary: Person/s unknown punched out the key lock on a vehicle, entered it and stole a wallet containing $80 USC and several credit cards. Offenders also stole a boot dryer and a CD system from the dashboard.
3/11 Location: West River Road and Zilm Road Custer Park
Summary: Christine N. Billman, age 41, of 102 Burr Ridge in Essex was arrested for DUI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, improper backing and battery.
Location: 18000 block of W. Schweitzer Road Jackson
Summary: Person/s unknown slashed the tire on one vehicle and caused damage to the wiper blades and tore off the gas cap of a second vehicle.
3/12 Location: 3900 block of W. Indiana Avenue Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown ripped a mailbox off its post causing damage.

3/8 Location: 159th and Garfield
Summary: James P. Minyo, age 23, of 1009 Bayside Lane in Shorewood was arrested for failure to signal, DUI and DUI over the legal limit.
Location: 200 block of Rev. Walton Drive
Summary: Victim stated sometime during the past month person/s unknown entered her unoccupied rental property and stole a wall mounted microwave and copper piping and wire.
Location: 20630 Gaskin Drive Big John’s Contractors
Summary: Owner stated person/s unknown entered his property by cutting the chain from a gate. Offender/s then entered five of his storage containers. At time of report it was unclear if anything was stolen.
3/10 Location: 700 block of Maryknoll Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown stole the tailgate off of a Chevy 1500 truck while it was parked in the owner’s driveway.
Location: 18962 W. Airport Road Crawford Bus Company
Summary: Manager stated person/s unknown removed the hinges of the access gate, entered the bus lot and stole 24 power volt vehicle batteries. Eight buses were entered, with three batteries being stolen out of each. The theft was discovered when the drivers attempted to start their buses in the morning hours. Estimated value: $2400.

Summary: Owner stated between 3/6 and 3/10 person/s unknown entered the property and removed two back blowers and two weed eaters from a trailer.
3/12 Location: 2700 block of Lawrence Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown stole an old stove and 15’ of copper wire that was on a resident’s property.
HOMER GLEN
3/8 Location: Parker and Sweetwater Drive` Culver Park
Summary: Between 3/6 and 3/8 person/s unknown spray painted the playground equipment in multiple spots in miscellaneous patterns.
3/10 Location: 15801 S. Bell Road Palos Bank and Trust
Summary: Shenise Y. Hunter, age 30, of 6833 S. Emerald in Chicago was arrested for deceptive practices and forgery after she attempted to cash a $1987 check on the account of a recycling business in Joliet. The bank employee contacted the business owner who advised he did not write the check. The employee then detained Hunter until police arrived. A similar check for ($1782) was found on Hunter.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
3/9 Location: 29 W316 Wagner Naperville
Summary: Daniel W. Chrnko, age 18, of this address, was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer, possession of cannabis under 30 grams and possession of drug equipment after the Will County Gang Suppression Unit executed a search warrant.
Location: 10101 S. Mandel Wheatland Car Paint Plus
Summary: Between 3/6 and 3/8 person/s unknown stole a 20’ flatbed trailer from the parking lot.
3/11 Location: 2400 block of Chestnut Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole an I-Pod. The car was unattended for about five minutes.
3/13 Location: 12300 S. New Avenue DuPage BMAJ Corp. & KLP Trucking
Summary: Owner of BMAJ reported that because of recent thefts he had been watching his property closely. At 10:50pm the owner observed two subjects with flashlights walking around looking into trailers. The owner advised the owner of KLP and they attempted to confront the subjects but they fled towards the tollway on foot. A 2010 BMWx5 was found unoccupied parked near the edge of the property. Under investigation.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
3/9 Location: 7000 block of W. Benton Drive Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown slashed two tires of a vehicle while it was parked on the roadway.
3/10 Location: 109 Ford Drive New Lenox
Summary: Victim stated he left his 1997 Saturn parked in the parking lot on 3/8 of an industrial business unit where he rented a unit. On this date he discovered it had been stolen.
3/12 Location: 21710 s. 116th Avenue New lenox
Summary: The Gang Suppression Unit, along with MANS agents, executed a search warrant at 5:30 am at this address. Ruben Gutierrez Sr., age 46, of this address, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug equipment and possession of ammunition by a felon. Ruben Gutierrez, Jr., age 22, of this address, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug equipment.
