Homer Glen

2/22     Location:  14000 block of Mallard Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown fraudulently opened an account with ComCast using a victim’s name.  The offender’s address was in Chicago.

 

            Location:  15000 block of Chancellor Drive

            Summary:  Victim stated person/s unknown attempted to charge $20 to a company named Mel disco Pay in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Three other fraudulent charges were also made totaling $520.

 

            Location:  16000 block of 146th Place

            Summary:  Person/s unknown applied a chemical to the paint of a victims’ vehicle.  The chemical was applied to the roof, hood, and driver’s side door.  The paint on the vehicle was bubbled and removed down to the metal.

 

            Location:  159th and Will Cook Road

            Summary:  Carlos Mejia, age 38, of 421 Madeline in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

2/23     Location:  14000 block of Stonehaven Lane

            Summary:  Person/s unknown withdrew $168 from an account using a fraudulent debit card.  The transaction was related to an expense from GoDaddy.com.

 

2/25     Location:  14000 block of s. Birchdale Drive

            Summary:  At about 12:47pm, victim heard a loud noise and when he looked outside observed a small blue sports car driving away from his house at a high rate of speed.  He then observed the same vehicle drive past his residence a second time.  He observed three male whites about 18 years of age inside the vehicle.  Deputies observed a small dent and scratches to a neighbors Jaguar. 

 

            Location:  13000 block of W. Navajo Trail

            Summary:  Victim stated she observed a blue vehicle occupied by three unknown male white subjects stop in front of her residence.  One subject exited the vehicle and threw a rock into the back window of her van causing the window to break.  The vehicle then drove off.

 

            Location:  159th and Marian

            Summary:  Jose G. Reyes, age 36, of 565 Dover Street in Joliet was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and driving while license suspended.

 

2/26     Location:  13000 block of W. Seminole Trail

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out a vehicle window, entered the vehicle and stole a radar detector.

 

            Location:  13000 block of Archer Avenue

            Summary:  Deandre R. Anderson, age 28, male, of 829 S. State Street in Lockport was arrested for domestic battery and resisting a peace officer.

 

2/27     Location:  W. Anand Brook Drive and Bell Road

            Summary:  Ronald V. Vitro, age 41, of 404 Fourth Street in Lemont was cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

 

            Location:  143rd and I-355

            Summary:  Christopher C. Cullinan, age 24, of 13864 W. Rockbluff Way in Homer Glen was arrested for DUI, DUI over the legal limit and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after he lost control of his vehicle and drove into a culvert about 10’ below the roadway.  Cullinan was extricated from his vehicle by Northwest Homer Fire and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital.  His injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.

 

East Townships

 

2/22     Location:  Crete-Monee Road and Highland Avenue                        Monee

            Summary:  Derrick L. Jones, age 39, of 22723 S. Lawndale in Richton Park was cited for no registration plate light and operating a vehicle with revoked registration.

 

2/24     Location:  3100 block of Forestview Trail                  Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown drilled out the front door deadbolt lock on a residence.  Offender/s did not enter the residence.

 

2/26     Location:  6000 block of W. Wagner Drive               Monee

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a wedding ring from a residence. 

 

South Township

           

2/24     Location:  Roberts and Sumac                                    Wilmington

            Summary:  Robert D. Hill, age 64, of 14 Blue Gill Circle in Wilmington was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign after the school bus he was driving struck the vehicle of a Bruning School teacher as they entered the intersection.  Nineteen students were on the bus however none were injured.  Hill and the other driver were not injured.  Minor damage was caused.

 

Joliet

 

2/22     Location:  Barr Elms Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out a double-paned window of a residence.

 

            Location:  1000 block of Maude Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown made five fraudulent charges totaling $130 on a victim’s charge card.

 

            Location:  1809 Pinewood Lane

            Summary:  Colleen E. Clark, age 29, and James K. Lawson, age 30, both of this address, were arrested for domestic battery.

 

            Location:  600 block of Timberline Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a jar containing about $280 in change from a residence.

 

            Location:  Bradford Street

            Summary:  Person/s unknown flattened all four tires on a Dodge Charger.

 

2/24     Location:  1900 E. Washington                      Cruisers Car Wash

            Summary:  Owner stated person/s unknown removed a $1,000 vacuum cleaner from outside the car wash.  The vacuum was 4’ high by 2’ round and attached to a cement base.  It appeared that the offender/s unbolted the vacuum, cut the wires, and removed the unit.  The theft occurred during the evening hours.

 

2/26     Location:  1906 E. Cass                      Aspen Utilities

            Summary:  A supervisor stated person/s unknown damaged the glass on the front door to the business by throwing rocks at it.  No attempt to gain entry was made by the offender/s.

 

            Location:  1700 block of S. Chicago

            Summary:  Ronald P. Kurecki, age 42, of 1703 S. Chicago Street in Joliet and Jeffery M. Tomsich, age 29, of 1703 S. Chicago Street in Joliet (separate apartment numbers), were arrested for battery.

 

2/27     Location:  3500 block of Juniper Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the rear window of a vehicle that was parked in front of a residence.

 

            Location:  Davison Street

            Summary:  Person/s unknown busted out the rear window and side window of a vehicle.

 

2/28     Location:  Briggs and Elgin

            Summary:  Frank A. Danielczyk, age 57, of 16664 W. 145th Street in Lockport was arrested for improper lane usage, DUI, and DUI over the legal limit.

 

            Location:  North Park Road

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a laptop computer from a residence.  Victim stated several people have keys to the residence.

 

West Townships

 

2/22     Location:  12225 Disk Drive              DuPage                       Roadside

            Romeoville Fire Arson Investigator stated that Romeoville fire was called at 11:12pm and extinguished several items that were in the yard of the business.  Deputies checked the business building for any people and it was clear.  Items that were extinguished were:  a generator ($1000), a Ford F250 pickup ($12,000), a 4300 International truck ($30,000), a two Scorpion road safety equipment ($14,000 each).  Arson Investigator stated that he was conducting an investigation.

 

            Location:  17000 block of 135th                      DuPage

            Summary:  Between 1/5 and 2/22 person/s unknown removed a 1999 Ford F250 truck from a residence driveway.

 

2/24     Location:  13646 S. Jonesport Circle              Plainfield

            Summary:  Jeffery V. Osborn, age 35, of this address, was arrested for domestic battery.

 

2/25     Location:  21000 block of w. Juneau Court   Plainfield

            Summary:  Victim received a phone call from Kohl’s advising him of a suspicious transaction.  The noted transaction was unauthorized from the victim.

 

            Location:  County Line road and Rt. 126

            Summary:  Eugenia D. Kelly, age 38, of 7303 Atkinson Circle in Plainfield was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after she hit a patch of ice and entered oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head on.  Both drivers were transported to Provena St. Joe’s.  Kelly and had non life threatening injuries.  It was unclear of the medical condition of the other driver at the time of the report.

 

2/26     Location:  15000 block of s. Indian Boundary Road             Plainfield

            Summary:  Owner of Fuerte Systems in Plainfield stated that he received a call from the Knightstown, IN police who stated that they were holding a subject in custody for possession of a stolen truck.  The vehicle had been parked at the Indian Boundary address when it was taken.  The subject in custody had been working for a contractor that was doing work at the owner’s residence.  Will County deputies did not file charges at this time.  Knightstown police stated they would be filing charges.

 

2/27     Location:  10122 S. Mandel          Custom Welding              Wheatland

            Summary:  Between 2/20 and 2/27 person/s unknown entered a fenced area and stole an aluminum construction lift ($950).

 

2/28     Location:  14056 Denton Court                      Plainfield

            Summary:  Joanne H. Principe, age 40, and Anthony V. Principe, age 40, were both arrested for domestic battery.

 

            Location:  Weber Road and Lakewood Falls Drive               Plainfield

            Summary:  Basseroni Person, age 43, male, of 38 Crestwood in Joliet was cited for improper use of turn signal and driving while license suspended.

 

            Locaiton:  Budler and Knollwood Drive                    Plainfield

            Summary:  A 30 year old male victim from Plainfield was a victim of a hit and run while he was traveling south on Budler when an unidentified vehicle traveling northbound sideswiped him causing the victim to veer off the roadway and strike a guardrail head-on.  The victim was checked at the scene by Lockport Fire and released.

 

Lockport

 

2/22     Location:  15000 block of S. High Road

            Summary:  Two washing machines, two clothes dryers and 15 aluminum walkers were stolen by person/s unknown from a residence.  The victim had plans to take the items for scrap processing.  A neighbor stated seeing a blue minivan in the victim’s driveway around noon while the victim was gone. 

 

Frankfort and New Lenox

 

2/22     Location:  9400 block of W. Hawthorne Avenue                  Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole a Playstation game unit, Wii game unit and a ladies ring.

 

2/23     Location:  7905 W. Lincoln Highway            Club 30 West        Frankfort

            Summary:  Manager stated that he advised one of his patrons to leave the premises and she still refused after several attempts.  Sheriff’s deputies advised Jenni Linn Berey, age 35, of 8601 Hill Avenue in Frankfort, to leave the establishment and Berey still refused after several requests.  Berey was charged with criminal trespass to property and obstruction.

 

            Location:  19000 block of s. Farmington Lane                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown smashed the driver’s side window of a pickup truck.

 

            Locaiton:  7300 block of W. Braemar Lane               Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown poured an unknown substance over a Ford Focus on 2/20 at about 9pm while it was parked in the victim’s driveway.  Victim stated that she was attempting to remove the foreign matter thru car washes and hand washing without success.  The victim believes the offender/s also poured the clear substance into the gas tank because the vehicle had not run normal since the incident.

 

            Location:  LaGrange Road and Laraway                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Jose O. Guerrero, age 20, of 25 McEldowney in Chicago Heights was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  19000 block of Gray Lane             Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the driver’s side window of a vehicle.

 

            Location:  20000 block of s. Frankfort Square Road             Frankfort

            Summary:  While on routine patrol Sheriff’s deputies observed a rear window of a vehicle broken out.   The owner of the vehicle had not been aware of the damage until notified by deputies.

 

 

            Location:  7300 block of W. Benton Drive                Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the back window of a Chevy Tahoe.

 

            Location:  7600 block of W. Juniper Court                Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown shattered the rear window of a Jeep Liberty.  Another vehicle next door had its window broken out also.

 

            Location:  19000 block of Collin Drive                      Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown struck the back window of a Ford Escape causing the window to shatter.

 

2/24     Location:  19000 block of Hunter Trail                      Mokena

            Summary:  Victim attempted to obtain a debit card and was informed thru her bank that she had insufficient funds from an account that had been closed.  Upon checking on her credit history she discovered that three accounts had been opened using her social security number.

 

            Location:  Benton and Harlem                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Larry D. Kelley, age 51, of 232 S. Mayfair Place in Chicago Heights was cited for driving with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 

 

2/28     Location:  7500 block of Benton                    Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the back window of her Ford Ranger.
