HOMER GLEN
1/11 Location: 12502 W. 143rd Street Gas City
Summary: A white male in his 40’s driving a black Honda SUV pumped $31.25 worth of gasoline and drove off without paying.
1/14 Location: 143rd and Lemont
Summary: Dennis J. Wokurka, age 37, 13949 S. Lemont Road in Homer Glen was cited for felony driving while license suspended (3 or more convictions) and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
1/15 Location: 147th and Rickerman Road
Summary: Stanislaw Jarecki, age 40, of 368 Aster Court in Romeoville was arrested for DUI and DUI over the legal limit.
1/16 Location: 15000 block of S. Lourdes Drive
Summary: At 4:27pm, John N. Beerefoot, age 89, of 15607 S. Lourdes Drive in Homer Glen entered his 2004 Mercury Marquis to drive to his curbside mailbox. His vehicle was in reverse gear and was backing down his driveway when he accidentally pressed on the gas pedal causing him to back into the house across the street. When deputies arrived at the scene they observed Beerefoot’s vehicle to be fully inside the victim’s living room. Beerefoot was cited for no valid driver’s license and improper backing. He was transported to Silver Cross Hospital by Homer Fire for non-life threatening injuries. The victims, a husband and wife in their mid 70’s, were in the rear of their home at the time of the accident. They were uninjured however the husband experienced chest pains due to stress and was taken to Silver Cross.

Summary: Person/s unknown entered two unlocked vehicles in a resident’s driveway, rifled thru the glove boxes but did not steal anything.
1/18 Location: 136th and 146th Place
Summary: Kevin M. Griffard, age 18, of 25326 Shannon Court in Manhattan was transported to Silver Cross Hospital after he wrapped his 2002 Chevy Silverado around a tree in the 16000 block of 146th Place. Griffard suffered from cuts and swelling to his face. He was cited for zero tolerance, DUI, and improper lane usage.
Location: 159th and Cedar
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a John Deere enclosed cab backhoe that was parked on 159th and Cedar where street light maintenance was being done. The vehicle had last been used Friday, 1/16 and when an employee came back to work on this date the backhoe was gone. H&H Electric from Franklin Park was the owner of the vehicle.

Summary: Dennis Kalafut, age 32, of 3004 Chestnut Pointe Drive in New Lenox was arrested for improper lane usage, speeding, driving while license suspended and DUI. Matthew P. Murphy, age 35, of 897 Meadowridge Lane in New Lenox was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and had a warrant out of Florida.

1/11 Location: Benton and Harlem Frankfort
Summary: Miguel A. Sanchez, age 23, of 14136 Wood Street in Dixmoor, IL was cited for no registration light, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
1/14 Location: 12000 block of Clyde Court New Lenox
Summary: At 6:04pm deputies arrived on scene where victim stated that person/s unknown had just stolen a 1996 Jamar 5000CC trailer ($1000). A witness stated that an older model purple Dodge Dakota extended cab pickup truck was seen heading south on Schoolhouse Road at 6pm with the trailer. The trailer had been resting at the bottom of Clyde Ct. in an unsecured area.
1/15 Location: 19900 S. Harlem Avenue Frankfort Lincoln Way North HS
Summary: Thomas J. Wolfe, age 18, of 7444 W. Benton Drive in Frankfort was arrested for possession of drug equipment.
1/16 Location: 9400 block of Birch Avenue Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown forced entry into a home and stole $300 from a residence. Victim believes he is aware of who the offender is. Deputies are investigating.
1/17 Location: Frankfort Square and Rt. 30 Frankfort
Summary: Carl E. Washington, age 28, of 5715 Point Drive in Hammond, IN was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Washington also had an FTA warrant out of Will County.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
1/11 Location: 3500 block of Oak Hill Drive Monee
Summary: After returning home from work victim discovered person/s unknown had entered their home and stole a laptop computer, digital camera, $100USC, a 37” TV, and jewelry.
1/16 Location: 26729 Dunleith Court Crete
Summary: David J. Hamater, age 31, of this address, was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm and carrying weapon without permit (No FOID). Kenneth A. Booth, age 49, of 17964 Henry St. in Lansing, IL was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm. Both subjects were shooting the .22 about 500ft. from a nearby church.
Location: 1200 block of Broadview Avenue Crete
Summary: Victim returned home to find the front living room window open. Person/s unknown had entered the residence and stole a 56” flatscreen TV, a Playstation II system, and a lap top computer.
1/18 Location: 28000 block of S. Yates Washington
Summary: Person/s unknown, between 1/3 and 1/18, stole two snowmobiles out of a trailer that was parked in the front yard of a residence home.
JOLIET
1/11 Location: 1100 Brandon Road Brandon Road Locks
Summary: Victim stated that one of his eight co-workers stole $60 from his wallet.
Location: Briggs and Washington
Summary: Agustin Chavez, age 26, of 837 E. Cass Street in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and no valid driver’s license.
1/13 Location: 1822 E. Washington Ingalls Park Liquors
Summary: Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm call at this business. Upon arrival they observed the front entrance glass door to be shattered. After review of the security cameras it was revealed that an unknown male shattered the glass door, entered and stole four DVD’s and two packs of Newport 100 cigarettes.

Summary: Heather M. Ladson, age 36, of 414 Morgan in Joliet was cited for no rear plate, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
1/17 Location: Weber and Caton Farm
Summary: Joi J. Wilson, age 25, of 925 Lois Place in Joliet was cited for operating a vehicle with expired registration, driving while license suspended.
1/18 Location: 800 block of Gael Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown broke a garage window.

1/11 Location: 111th and Heggs Road Wheatland
Summary: Miguel a. Martinez, age 50, of 1841 Arlene Drive in Aurora was arrested for DUI.
1/12 Location: 26000 block of W. Renwick Road Plainfield
Summary: Victim stated person/s unknown struck his parked vehicle and left the scene without reporting it.
Location: 21000 block of Kentwood Drive Plainfield
Summary: Denise Terry, age 49, of 21756 W. Kentwood Drive in Plainfield was cited for improper parking on roadway after she parked her Chrysler 300 in the middle of the roadway while she quickly visited a resident, and a Toyota Avalon struck her vehicle head-on. The driver of the Toyota, a 54 year old female Plainfield resident, was taken to Edwards Hospital for precautionary measures.

Summary: Person/s unknown struck a vehicle with an unknown object while it was parked in the victims driveway.
Location: 22921 Lincoln Highway Plainfield Mobil Gas
Summary: A male black subject, in his 40’s, driving an older model dark green vehicle, fueled his car with $29.84 worth of gas and drove off without paying.
1/16 Location: 12000 block of w. Offner Road Wheatland
Summary: person/s unknown destroyed a mailbox and post of a resident.
Location: 2500 block of Von Esch road Plainfield
Summary: A 38 year old Plainfield resident fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the roadway, striking a wooden Com Ed pole. He was not injured.
Location: 2500 block of Golfview Drive Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown stole an Xbox from a bedroom of a home.
Location: 100 block of Normantown Road Wheatland
Summary: A 22 year old male victim stated that while attending a party an acquaintance got angry because someone had stolen his Ipod. The victim was inside his vehicle when the acquaintance approached him, accused him, and then sliced a tire with a knife, and broke out two windows with a flashlight. Under investigation.
1/18 Location: 24000 block of Boulevard De John Wheatland
Summary: Victim stated while performing on-line banking she noticed an unknown charge to newegg.com for almost $600 that she did not do.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
1/11 Location: 34000 block of S. Evergreen Wesley
Summary: Person/s unknown forcibly entered a garage and stole three shotguns, one rifle and a set of handheld radios between 1/3 and 1/9. The guns were only keepsakes and not operable.
Location: 24001 Lorenzo Road Wilmington River Restaurant
Summary: At 3:05am, a known customer, with an unknown friend, entered the restaurant and order $38.79 worth of food. After they both ate they went to the restroom and then left without paying. The manager stated that this customer has left without paying several times before.
1/14 Location: 26000 block of Willow Lane Wilmington
Summary: Adam d. Aiello, age 29, of 26010 Willow Lane in Wilmington was cited for criminal damage to property after a verbal argument began during a domestic situation and Aiello broke out a vehicle windshield.
1/16 Location: 32000 block of Rt. 53 Wilmington
Summary: Sara M. Harris, age 19, of 648 Meadowwood Lane in Wilmington and Kathleen A. Garcia, age 17, of 349 N. 1st Street in Wilmington were arrested for criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a residence after they kicked down a door and entered it without permission.

Summary: A red late model Ford Explorer approached the front of a house and without stopping ran into a mailbox causing it damage.

1/12 Location: 100 block of North Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole three laptop computers, 50 CD’s, two laptop carrying cases, miscellaneous jewelry and a 40” TV.
1/17 Location: 200 block of Farrell Road
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a Marz light that was attached to a Ford Explorer. Value of light: $50.
